"xxx likes to push me mak..."

Yesterday, yaya cried and begged me to not go to school. I thought, at first, yaya was still feeling tired from the birthday party we attended last Sunday evening. When I asked her, why she doesn't want to go to school, she said that xxx likes to push her. I asked her, did she mentioned this to the teacher, she told me she did, but nothing was done about it. She did mentioned to me weeks ago, she fell down because somebody had pushed her. I just told her to just forget that incident. I thought, you know, kids, pushing around, falling down is normal thing to happen. So I just ignore it, until today.

I tried to talk to the teacher today, about yaya being absent yesterday, and about that pushing incident thing. But the teacher was not around. So without waiting further, I went to the car, and headed to thirah babysitter house. Then at the house, Ani, thirah's babysitter told me that his son, thoriq, who is in the same class with yaya, complaint to her about how this little xxx likes to push yaya, and snatched thoriq's hat. I felt upset hearing it and regret that I didnt take it seriously. Coincidently atang call me up later to ask about the girls. And I told him about it. He said he will call up Ani's husband (who is going to pick up the kids later from school) asking favor to inform this to the teacher....... hope the teacher will take an action towards this.

Till now I still feel regret and sad, and can't wait for yaya to get home. Hope she has a wonderful day today.

5 more days until Malaysia celebrate its 51st Independence Day..... As usual petronas did a very good job in producing a patriotic video (I first thought it is a Hari Raya video)... click the link below and watch the video

Though this video is delivering a serious message, I can't help laughing watching Afdlin.

New Farm Park

To celebrate our 7th anniversary, we took the kids to New Farm Park. We have heard what a wonderful place the park is. Since Yaya didnt want to go to school today (she was crying begging to not go to school today, maybe she was still tired from attending Aleeya's birthday party), so we decided to take the kids to the park.

Another good news.... another bundle of joy

I was at Target to buy a birthday present for friend's daughter tomorrow when I received a call from Cla. A much awaited call. So without hesitated, after gave Salam, I immediately asked,"haaa...dah bersalin dah?"hehehhehe.....

Alhamdullillah, Cla has given birth to a baby boy early this morning, at 1am++ (I was not sure the exact time...will confirm with Cla later...let her rest first). Hey...Athirah was born at 1.30am... a similarity here. I wanted to ask further, but Cla sound exhausted. Will find out more later. The baby weighted 3.4kg. Both mom and bub are in good condition.

When we went to Canberra last March, Cla was going into the 2nd trimester. And I only knew she was pregnant when I was there. Here are a couple of pictures of us during our visit at Canberra.

CONGRATULATIONS to Cla and Fadzli. Take care you guys. Fadzli sure is busy after this, taking care of the mom and bub.

Two wonderful news this month...two bundle of joy. Who's next??

Winter is ending...

The chilling period is going to end soon..huhu.. It is getting warmer now. That is the only way to predict or feel the change in the season. You see, there is no snow in Brisbane. Winter in Brisbane is just dead looking trees, yellow leaves, yellow grass, almost bald trees and the chilling wind. But the sun still sting, unless it is cloudy. Unlike last year, we experiencing frequent rain this time. And the rain makes the winter season this time not as cold as it was last year.

So people in northen hemiphere now, I assume, is preparing for fall soon. While we, the southern hemisphere people will soon put away the winter clothing (jumper, knitted wear, gloves, mitten etc.), people up there are taking them out. How I wish we could exchange the clothes, but I know even though we can, our winter attire wont be enough and as warm as you guys needed. Just a thought.

It is bright outside, a good day to take the kids out to the park.

Beautiful day .. wont you be my inspiration

Just find out that Dolores O'Riordon, The Cranberries vocalist has a solo album, launched last year. Have asked atang to look for a second hand CD at ebay, and only found one. But the price was just almost AD2 short from buying a brand new CD. May worth looking at the CD shop.

Al-Fatihah

Greatest sympathy to Onn and his family of the lost. Be strong dude...

In your head...in your mind...some memories remain

I am currently listening to The Cranberries No Need to Argue album. Yes that addicted, never enough, haunting album. The killer song Zombie was one of the hit singles in 1994. Listening to the album especially the song Zombie brings in a lot of memory, sweet and sad to my mind. So many things happened during that year. The most unforgetable memory was falling in love with someone, and later, was heart broken by the same person. First love that was actually started without a declaration and was also ended without a conclusion. It was a bitter experience but I came over it.

However, it is something that you couldnt easily forget....first love.. who can forget about the first time you falling in love. I have been in and out of relationship before I really fell in love with someone. It was definately one strange experience. Yup I experienced the 'walk on cloud' thing, the 'mandi tak basah, makan tak kenyang' thing. hahahhahah... Anyway that has long gone. Without that experience, I may not find and understand what true love means. And I found it. Hopelessly devoted to it.....

........suddenly I feel lump in my throat....so enjoy the vids .......

The Grill House, the destination

From the Kuraby Mosque, we headed to the Grill House. With assurance that we finally got the location right. So we finally arrived at the restaurant.

We ordered: Rum steak for atang, lamb chop for me and Southern fried chicken for yaya. Thirah already had her lunch from mama's kitchen, chicken porridge.

The food: I should say, 5 out of 6 rating. The lamb chop was superb except for the chips which is a bit under cook and a very simple salad. Sorry, no picture taken of the food. Everyone was very hungry, immediately when the food arrived at our table, everybody was busy eating. But it sure is worth the journey. It just about half an hour ride, but because we were very smart of not using the navman, and using trunk road instead of the motorway, plus getting lost, we took more than an hour to get there.

The Kuraby Mosque

Enroute to The Grill House.....

Since we havent found the restaurant, and we finally discovered the correct address based on the business card that I have in possession, I said to Atang, "lets stop at the mosque and solat zuhur". There is a mosque nearby Logan, Kuraby Mosque. By the way Athirah was making noise indicating that she was hungry. So while atang performed the zuhur, I fed thirah, and gave yaya a bag of potato chip (luckily we did some groceries on our way to the restaurant).

I was having the monthly visit, so I couldnt get inside the mosque. Atang however said that this mosque is much updated in compare to other mosque that we have visited.

Then....we were on our way to the destination........

Enroute to 'The Grill House'

Recently I have make a point of eating out every Saturday, be it for lunch or dinner or both. It is one way of letting out the steam and not thinking about the research for one day. Can be called as a short break, spending quality time with the family. Therefore every Friday evening, I would ask atang what is our destination for tomorrow (Saturday). And normally it is me who will come up with the idea, cause it is always the case. I will do the thinking and deciding part, while atang will do the driving, getting us to the destination. No need to argue about this, unless I was so distracted that I couldnt think straight, like what happened last time.

Last Saturday outing was special because we were celebrating atang's birthday as well. Yup, 14th of August atang turned 32 yrs old. Although he insisted that we celebrate his birthday in Hijrah year, but this is only recent. I was used to celebrate his birthday using the gregorian year, and it wont hurt anything, so no need to change anything.

In the conjuction of celebrating atang aka babah birthday, we decided to go to somewhere that we have never been before. The Grill House, at 2892 Logan road, opposite Underwood central. Anyway, we have planned to go to this place last month. But the whole family was down with the flu, so we called off the trip.

Our only Malaysian neighbour, Lan, recommended this restaurant. The Grill House served steak, burger, pizza, and briyani with chicken tandoori. Yummy. Being adventurous, we didnt used atang's best mate (the navman) for direction. Instead we relied on UBD aka ref. index. Atang was sure of the way, the only mistake we made (and blame it to our neighbour...haha....sorry Lan) was we got the address wrong. So we were lost, and went up and down the same road, without realising that we were actually have arrived at the restaurant.

I took this picture because of the KUMON signage, not realising that the Grill House is there. At this time we were waiting for the light to perform a U turn because we thought that we have missed the restaurant. You see, we got the address of the restaurant at 1897, but actually the restaurant is located at 2892. And that was why we made the U turn.

Yaya was feeling desperately hungry and sleepy. It was almost 1pm. After performing the U turn, we still couldn't locate the restaurant. Of course, we have got the address wrong. And then I realised I have a business card of a shop selling Muslim clothes, during the fete celebration at Brisbane Muslim School earlier this month. I remembered asking the owner where the shop is located, and she said next to the Grill House. Then it strucked me, might be the same Grill House she referring to. So I took out the the card from my handbag, and looked at the address.

2892, Logan Road. So I said to atang, "this must be it, because I remembered the owner mentioned the restaurant...".

To be continued.....

Writing in the sky

Lunatic, madness, freak, crazy... that definately the first thing that cross your mind when you see something that to you, is unacceptable... but does it occur to you that someone who is carrying out the inconceivable thing wants your attention, desperate to do so and has the gut. So who are you to judge ones action, just because you can't and won't probably do it?

That was what I was thinking when I saw this. It was Yaya who first spotted this. We first saw when the airplane was doing some curve and eventually formed an 'S'. "Is it an S?" I asked.

We were on our way to Nando's to have a quick but heavy lunch. Once we reached Nando's, I quickly took out my camera and capture these.

The first word was complete, I believe, in 3 to 4 minutes. "Sorry". So seeking forgiveness was the intention of the pilot.

Must be someone special to this pilot. I was like.... hmmm... why waste money doing this? Why can't you do it in normal way? Probably this was the pilot last resort, after all other efforts went down the drain. Or might be the pilot is desperate to get the attention of the intended person. Nevertheless why should I care...hahahhahah.....

I wanted to wait to snap more pictures on this, and to wait until the name of the person was complete and visible. However, atang can't wait to have the lunch. So this was the last picture I managed to get. "Sorry Ran......" So do you think the message was for a girl or boy?

Syukur and Congratulations

Alhamdullillah, finally the much awaiting news came. Congratulations to newly parents, Syaimak and Ady for the arrival of Junior. Finally the baby left the womb (I believe it is more than 1 week due).

....I am waiting for another happy news from Canberra... Is the baby soon to leave the womb, or couldnt have enough of it...hehehehe....

Next destination

Our next destination... "Eye of Brisbane"... Note: when this picture was taken, there were only two cable cars on the big wheel. But now, it is completed. Will find a time to bring yaya n thirah for a ride.

Peaceful

I love watching athirah sleeping. So peaceful. Hearing her breathing, quietly, easily, so soothing. .

Wondering what is she dreaming....or no dream..

Calming. Undisturbed...

The destination

We went to.......

IKEA @ Logan....about 30 minutes drive from the house.

We went there just to look around, to see what IKEA in Logan City looks like. The furnitures are almost the same with IKEA MD in Malaysia. But the showrooms are more in number than IKEA MD. Here they even have a showroom designed for a hair saloon, and they also sell books.

And these are what we bought for the kids, a box and a canister for the kids' toys.

A short break

A friend of mine advise me to take a break from work and have an enjoyable time. She suggested that I should leave the kids with atang for awhile, and do something to rejuvenate myself. If I was home in Malaysia, I can do that, meeting friends for coffee, or just shut myself in the room and read my favourite book. But here, I could never do that. The situation is totally different here.

So last Saturday (2nd of August), I woke up, and for the first time in months, atang said "Lets go somewhere today. Some place new. You need some fresh air"... I was stunned... honestly I was in no mood to go out. But he was right indeed.

So after breakfast, everybody changed clothes and off we go....

hmmm..... where to yaaaa...

I want to break freee!!!

I am in a very testing period right now. I have to concentrate on a very important task. Bare with me if I am not updating this blog regularly. Loads of story to write, but have to set priority.

Last week was not a good week for me. I was totally depressed. Felt like the earth crumbling down. Honestly. I forgot that I am being tested by The Almighty. I forgot that we can only plan what we want to happen, but He is the one who will make that happen. With Allah will. I forgot that He knows what is best for me. I forgot that He wont test me if I couldnt face it. And I forgot that only to Him you should ask for help. TawakkaltuAllah.

All this hardship has makes me stronger, never give up. Allah has provided you the option, and you have chose this path. So I must be strong, be positive, believing in yourself. Only you can make the change. No one else. You fall, you get up. Look in front, not back.

I am better today. And will getting better.

I am lucky to have family and friends who are always there for me. First and foremost to my hunny bunny, Azri (in arabic it means kekuatanku...yes you are my strength) for understanding and provides me with everything. My mom, dad, loving sis and family, my bro and family who has never stop believe in me. My colleague, Lan, eventhough she is now in China, distance doesnt hinder our friendship and keeps motivating me. Kak Su thanks for lending your shoulder and ears. Ida thanks for everything, only Allah can return your kindness, and you can do it. To Gee, since we have started communicating through YM, you have never fail to encourage me. To Cik (has the junior arrived yet) thanks for sharing your ups and downs and motivating me. And to Mamai, Sabrina, Lin, others that I do not mention here but are never forgotten...many thanks. Pray for my success. InsyaAllah everything will turn up well.
