I was browsing for more halal food outlet in Brisbane, until I stumbled into this "Halal Maps". Great maps, it shows not only halal restaurants, but butchers and mosques too. Good for visitors and people who like to travel, and looking for halal food in particular (like us :D). I wonder how can I make fully use with the map?!

Will update again when we visit/venture new outlet...

  7. Oppss just realise this post was last year..hehe..Anyways...just in case u dun already knoe KFC ada halal kat sini, just to tell u sometimes the gurl behind the KFC counter dun knoe anything! We asked her if the chicken was halal, she sed no. but we were not satisfied by that answer coz a good friend told us that it was..so we demand to see the manager and so the manager explained la that the chicken is from Baiada supplier so its halal..except for the popcorn and nuggets..Ahhh still it was good news for us..Kenyang! hehe..

  8. salam perkenalan 'Anon'. Thanks for visiting my blog. Interesting news. I have heard before that the KFC at the corner, just before Indooroo is getting supply from Baaida. However, due to some confusion and miscommunication (between my friend and the staff working there) we have doubt about the Halal handling of the food. Anyway, will try and check the one that you have mentioned. Thanks again ya... do drop by again...and jangan segan2 with me (have we met) :D.

  17. Dear All...In KFC don't only look for the chicken as some of them do have supply from Baida..BUT I been told by the manager at Sunny Bank KFC that their bread crum over the baida chicken does have animal fats ( I mean Pig Fat)...So if for some of you only being the chicken halal make burger halal then sure go for it otherwise none of the KFC's in Queensland are truly HALAL...my two cents

  18. thanks anon for the info...yup true enough.. so far there is non-halal breadcrumbs available off the shelf. most of bread have E471 which normally came from animal, unless stated that it is derived from soy. so always ask and check for the ingredients
