Parcels from home..again

2 parcels from home.... arrived 2 days apart from each other. The first box contained my old maternity clothes, some Amira's old baju kurung and tudung for yaya, and some anak tudung for me. I somehow forgot to bring a lot of anak tudung (actually I have left a lot of things by accident when packing the luggage). Since the first box contained clothing, I assumed the second box would contained the foodstuff. Australian Immi is very strict with what coming in to Australia, so I expected the box will arrive in a week.

But 2 days after the arrival of the 1st box, came the goodies... yeihaa..... a lot of goodies in it. It was like receiving rations from the army..kehkehkeh.... Along and Mak have gone to the extend of fulfilling our need.... Mane tak mahal kena charge ye.... Zillion of thanks to my beloved sister.... Tak payah citer la apa yg dikirimkan tu.... Enough to say that...my ladder is full with the goodies now.... Boleh jadik stok setahun....

Came with the 2nd box, 2 letters. 1 is from Along, addressed to me, another is for Yaya, from her cousins. After finished reading letter from her cousin, Yaya was quiet for a couple of minutes. She was dumbstruck... macam nak nangis pun ada. I guessed she misses her cousins so much. Yela, back home, she will see her cousins at least once a month. Mana tak rindu ye. I can feel what she feels, coz I too miss people back home....including my cat Lara..... sob sob sob.....

Minggu makan-makan

This week agenda is makan-makan. During marketing last Saturday, I bought daun kesum and bunga kantan at Yuen's and also found a bunch of daun pandan (frozen) that can be kept in the freezer for a long time. Oh the daun kesum, bought at Hon Lan. I put the daun kesum in the water to keep it fresh, and until today, the daun kesum is growing.... hahahhha alhamdullillah.

So, with the agenda, we had oxtail soup on one fine day, hot dog another, assam pedas ikan the next and kambin masak kunin. Fuh.... then came ITPS get together on Thursday where the main dish was steamboat. Lovely....

Today, Sabrina invited us to Melly and her's birthday celebration. Yummy....another makan day. There were lots of goodies, karipap, onde2, popia, cakes, mihun, bbq. Balik rumah, macam ular sawa. Tido kekenyangan.

I didnt bring my camera to either gathering. Hope Ida n Sabrina will post some pictures to me, soon.

The order of the pheonix .... and our first movie in Brisbane

HP5 arrived Brisbane on the 11th of July. This time I pursuaded Atang to watch it at cinema. At first we planned to watch it next week, where the crowd wil be less. But an insident happened, so I woke up today, and decided, we have to watch it today... or not. So before we did our marketing, we went to Indooroopilly BC cinema to buy the tickets for the evening show.

Cinema kat sini tak macam Malaysia. It is free seatting. To get the best seat, you have to come early. We bought the 8.30pm show. After dinner, roughly around 7.30pm we rush off to the cinema, it only took 10 minutes to get there, but we want the best seat. When we arrived, the line has already formed. So me and yaya got into the line, while Atang did the food buying stuff, two coffees and a small popcorn. I was arguing with atang about the popcorn, I wanted him to get the regular one, but then the line was moving, so in we went, looking for the best seats. And we get it.


This was our first time going to the cinema in Brisbane. So macam 'galok' (pinjam perkataan Juney) laa.... tengok kiri kanan. Full of teenagers. Fanatik fan pun ada, siap bawak 'wand'. Ok, so everybody seated, came the advertisement on the screen. Takde pulak adverts pasal turn-off-mobile. Tapi mmg through out the movie, takde pun unwanted sound effect. So.... atang, yaya and me are seated comfortably (seat dia best...hahhaha). Now is the popcorn eating time. Ambil sikit.... eeeeiiiii tak sedapnya..... it was just plain butter popcorn. It taste horrible (exagerate as usual....not to my liking la kiranya). Really put me off. Fortunately the latte was great. But yaya likes the popcorn. Sib baik Atang beli small aje.

About the HP5. Ok la, to be fair, I wont comment about the movie. Hey it is difficult to get the hundredth pages of story in just 2-hour-movie. Again, those yang tak baca buku tu wont feel disappointed laa..

So that's 'bout it. Our first movie in Brisbane. Oh... nxt week the last HP book is out. Berazam nak beli and baca masa dlm pantang nanti...hahahha can I resist it?

A visit to Lone Pine Kaola Santuary (I finally able to put this up)

Errr... there seems to be a problem with the title bar, I couldnt insert a title for this entry.

Anyway, lets not that get in the way. The title of this entry is "A visit to Lone Pine Kaola Santuary".

At first we planned to go to Gold Coast, but seeing that it is impossible to go there for just 1 day (hey we would like to visit all the theme parks) plus it is still chilling out there, we changed the plan. We went to see Kaola and Kanggaroo and other exotic Australian animals. It is just 10 minutes away from our house, and it was indeed a good trip for yaya, during her school break.

Almost all animals were sleeping, the kanggaroos were inactive, they didnt hop at all. Sad to say that. It is still winter, so blame it on the season..hahhahahahha.....
