Minggu ke 2 Ramadhan, day is getting longer. Pukul 4.40 dah masuk subuh, berbuka antara pukul 5.35 - 5.38pm. Cuaca pulak, haritu on the first week of Ramadhan, it was hot. But last week the temperature dropped to 11 deg at night. Maknanya winter belum abis lagi. But I did my spring cleaning last weekend, punya la confident yang spring is here. Jemur quilt, wash all the woolen clothes, store the winter jackets, sekali sojuk balik daaa...
Anyway, nothing has changed in the kitchen. Masak and masak, for iftar n sahur. Jamu mato la yo...
Western for iftar, grilled wings, resepi "chicken like deli wings" tu, homemade mushroom soup, a little bit oily coz I put some cheese in it, n garlic bread.
Daging berlado... ala-ala dendeng. This one I got the idea from that "Makanan Indonesia" restaurant. Yang nie mmg tak bleh berhenti makan, tu yg goreng kentang banyak2 tu...huhu
Sup ekor... ekor kat sini murah tau. Fav atang. Atang kalau buka puasa, mesti nak ada sup daging kadang-kadang, kalau dulu selalu beli kat PaRam aje, sup yg dlm periuk kawah tu. Kek sini, takdo kawah yo, periuk kecik den tu yo guno, rebus la dalam 3 jam. elok lombut nanti.
aaaa yang nie biaso la kan... dah nak abih baru teringat nak amik gambar. Lado ijau pun dah selamat masuk perut dah :D.
Paling simple, ikan berlado aka sambal ngan sup sawi (choy sum).
Cucur udang makcik aDebbie ngan kuih kasturi (betul ke nama nie ek?) ala kuih yang dalam tu kacang ijau tu.
Last Friday, we invited some close friends for iftar, I prepared mee kari and some puffs. Tak sempat ambil gambar la. Dah lama tak makan ramai2, so over excited. Lepas tu pack2 utk tetamu bawak balik. Licin :D.
Dan....
Ada lebih mee kunin tu, esoknya den buat la mee goreng mamak style... boleh la ekk..
And on Sunday, we were invited for iftar at my colleague's house. So we had Bangladeshi meals for iftar. We had delicious and splendid meal. Penuh perut..macam2 kawan tu hidangkan. And we were curious about the food, so sume kena rasa laa (especially me, new food amazed me :p). For iftar, we had chick peas, with some fried tempura like vege (the batter was actually chick pea flour), and some fruits. I thought at first that was just the meal, so I had a good helping of the fried vege, because it was soo delicious. Lepas nie kena la carik tepung tu, so that we can have all sort of vege tempura after this...ahahahahah. For drink, the host prepared yogurt drink. Lepas tu the host cakap, you want ur dinner now or after 'namas' (solat). What?! I though this is everything...wakakakaka rupenya ada banyak lagi. Pulak tu kawan nie dok la senduk kan dalam pinggan we all nie. Memang layanan superb punya.
(chick pea that we had for iftar, and on the right is jack-fruit seed puff, haah, biji nangka tu, rasa macam kentang la...so lebih kurang karipap gak :D. Fried vege tidak kelihatan sebab dah selamat dalam perut kami nie ha)
And for dinner, the host and hostess prepared....
Salad and mix vege.
Fish, beef and chicken korma. Haa...tu untuk makan 4 orang aje tu. Giler sangap perut...wakakakakakaka
And not forgetting, the rice. This is special rice. In Bangladesh they will use this type of rice for special occasion. Nie kawan tu masak, macam nasik minyak sikit la, letak butter n olive oil, tumis ngan cengkih dan buah pelaga.
To the host and hostess, thank you so much for inviting us, this is our first time tasting Bangladeshi food, and it was one authentic taste. Sorry, both of us have small stomachs, wish we could dig in more, but due to the capacity, we have to surrender. Due to privacy concern, am not able to post any pictures taken with them.
15 days of Ramadhan... 15 days to Syawal :(

org lelaki suka mkn sup ekor kn? my husband's fav too! dia slalu srh beli tp sy aje yg geli nk pegang, nk basuh, nk masak..sian lakiku..at last beli aje...hehe
daging kicap tu cam menarik je..huhuhuuhh..berbunyi peyut ku ..
haah ms taj, buat badan diorang panas...tapi kite pun bukan makan sangat kan, beli aje dah siap senang :D
kakty, puasa tak tu...ahahahha...
