All about the baby

MERDEKA!!MERDEKA!!MERDEKA!!

This month is all about the baby. We went to the Royal Brisbane Women's Hospital for the booking thing. It was a 30 minutes appoinment with the midwife, to get all the information about the pregnancy, my previous pregnancy and family health history. Royal Brisbane is a public hospital. My pregnancy health care is covered by OSHC insurance. So everything will be paid by the insurance.

And today we went for ultrasound. According to the radiologist, everything is normal. Alhamdulillah. When yaya was in my womb, she cant stop moving her legs. Her adik, cant stop
moving his hands...hahahhaha..... here is a picture of the baby from the ultrasound.

Yaya brought back a drawing for babah, for the father's day. Unlike the picture she drew for me for the mother's day, her picture of babah was kinda open to many interpretation. She drew babah, with her adik in the picture, beside a tall building that she claimed to be her house. But the most odd thing is, there is a snail in the picture. Lately she likes to draw snail, she called it slimey. And every pictures of family she drew, she will not forget about her little sibbling inside her mom's tummy.

We shown her the ultrasound pictures of her adik. She was curious on how the baby looks like. After I explained to her where is/are the baby's face, hands and legs, she finally understand the pictures, and got very excited. She kept kissing my tummy after that.... showing affectionate for her adik. Tak sabar tunggu adik dia keluar......

The winter is ending

The class has started. Although the class runs fortnightly, it surely keeps me occupied. But I am not going to talk about that, it is no fun...hahahhaha... let us talk about the winter.

I am sure, you must wondering whether there is snow in the winter. Sorry to disappoint you (and with my pleasure of cause), there is NO snow in winter, in Brisbane...normally. Haa.. but this year the climate changed a little. It was colder than before (according to Brisbane people, we will never argue on that....bbrrrr). So in some rural area, it was snowed, very thin though. The lowest we got is 3 deg. Day time was so short. I spent most of the time hibernating, fighting with my nauseas as well. Truthfully, winter did me no good. I got nose bleed, my working hours became too short. Cant stand how the house smell, because it was so cold outside, you couldnt open the window when you are cooking. So the smell linger in the house. Skins were dry, due to hot water and the heater. Yaya and Atang also suffering from dried skin. Ingat winter nie such a big deal sangat laaa.... so bantai mandi, lepas tu malas sapu losyen, duduk pun dekat dengan heater.... haaa... amik..... But what ever we experienced, we did wonder how are those people in the northen hemiphere can cope in the winter. Climate during summer pun macam winter kat sini.

Nevertheless, this is what we called experience. If we never came here, we would definately will not gain this experience. But I am glad the winter is finally over. And before the winter make way for the colourful spring, it left a trademark last week. The rain came and stayed for the whole week. Alhamdullillah. Filling up Brisbanes' almost dried up dam. But Sunshine Coast got the worst of the weather. Some part of the district were flooded.

Other than coping with the weather, I managed to submit the proposal (and I already received positive response from the committee) and.... I also managed to finish the Deathly Hollows...Ok... I did say that I will not read it until the confinement. But hey... who am I kidding. The book was sitting there on my bedside table, it was so tempting. Before I went crazy, reading and finishing it seemed most sensible thing to do. Besides, I deserved a break. So I finished the book, and felt light headed after hahahhaha... (I dont like how the story end though.... cant believe that harry marrying ginny)

For that I end my story. The winter is going, spring is coming. It is spring cleaning time. So get out your broom and scrub, and go scrub the shower (this is a job for atang....hehehhee...)

Tiring but deserving weeks

The 2nd semester has started, and so is my class. This semester I need to take advanced research method class, which start at 8 in the morning, on Thursday. That means I can't sleep after subuh, for I need to prepare yaya's lunch box, my lunch box, breakfast, and rush to catch the 7.20am citycat. ..phewww.... luckily the class runs fortnightly. However, it has changed my rountine a bit.

Not just that, for 2 straight weeks, we had workshop on Fridays. So another early morning. Plus, the advanced research method class requires us to read a couple of articles before the class. There are 2 objectives for that, 1, there will be a quiz to test on our understanding about the reading; 2, it will make discussion in the class much more easier. I dont know which is more important, coz both of them bring together the same impact, we could critically talk about the articles, and not merely on what is written, but also on implicit stuff. I guess, that is the intention. Prof Guy would only act as a fasilitator, and allow us to come up with anything about the article. For me this sound a brilliant way of encouraging us to think critically and to speak up, but it resulted in a very uncomfortable situation. Only a few of us could speak up and professed his opinion. I am one of the introvert, not that I cant follow the discussion, it is just I dont have the nerve to speak up, pity me. That is one of my weakness, one that I need to overcome, soon.

Ok, enough gibbering about my class. I am thinking about having another blog just to write about my PhD, but again, another blog surely will entail another commitment (which I hardly have now). To date I already have 4 blogs, 3 have been left forgotten, hahahhahahha...
If you cant maintain it... discard it.....right......
