Halal rolls n pies

Alhamdullillah....lately we came across many Halal certified products (consumable) in Brisbane. We have tried several variety/flavour of this Vili's rolls and pies. Makan panas-panas sambil minum kupi O, kaw kaw punya.

You can get Vili's at Acai the grocerer/saundry (those who live in St Lucia or surrounding areas knows where). Our fav are the sausage rolls, the mushroom pies and the chicken pie. Price range $3 to $5.

Movie: Toy Story 3

The school holiday has just started. Last Saturday we spent our day at the MovieWorld, yup for the hmmm hmmmm can't remember how many, maybe 4 or 5 times. Well, that included the first time we went there with my bro and his family, in 2008. And end of last year, we bought the season passes, to join my sistah and her family who came here around December last year. The pass ends this 30th June. And that was the reason why we took the kids there last Saturday, let them (and us) enjoy the ride for the very last time. BTW I do really need a break from the work. Tersangat sangat la stress sekarang nih....

Tonight, atang insisted that we go out and watch Toy Story 3. This will gonna be adik first experience. We saw a good sign of adik adapting to dark places when we went inside Shrek's at the MovieWorld. The first time we brought her there....errr second time to be exact (she was 4 months old when we brought her there for the first time, so she didn't understand what was going on), she freaked out. So, for the 2nd time in a row (a large gap in between ya), I have to sit at one of the motionless chairs that were reserved for preggies and parents who have to sit their kids on the lap. We were lucky last Saturday because adik enjoyed Shrek and was pretty attentive to the 3D movie, with that huge 3D glasses perched on her nose and sat on that motion chair all by her own, even refused my arm around her shoulders. So finally I got to sit on the motion chair, for the first and the last time. Crikey!!

Hopefully adik (and us) will enjoy Toy Story 3. Maybe this gonna be our last cinema outting in Brisbane...yikes!!

Been busy because....

Arrrrghhhhhhhhhh....stress stress.... all because of.. let this comic strip narrate my current situation

First time in my life I have numerous folders in the hard drive containing loads of extracted data, loads of report, loads of discussion. And am running out of space in the hard drive....

And am still crunching...doh!! I miss Mak!!!

10-minutes post: @ the most comfy place at home

Since I have this recurring backpain, I do my work on this comfy sofa bed. I think I can write better at this comfy nook rather than sitting on the office chair. Maybe the bulky chair, and the height of the table have force me to slouch a lot, hence causing me the backpain.



And there is another added advantage, adik seemed to be on her best behaviour when I am sitting at this particular spot. She didn't bother me much, and can play by herself most of the time. But I have to make sure that her fav movie of the day is playing.

OK, I have target to meet today. Have a productive and pleasant day ahead.

Alhamdullillah... selesai dah hutang puasa dan harinie juga den langgar pantang setelah 3 minggu meninggalkannya. Kupi Oooo...kupi hehehehhe...

Yaya and her school homework

Since Yaya started schooling, I keep comparing my school years with her. I remembered those wonderful time I had, although everyday was not always fun, but I am missing every single day of it. That include the days that I had to stand on a chair for two periods for not memorising the congak, the day that I was kicked on the stomach by an angry boy who thought I told the classroom teacher that he refused to cooperate with the classroom duty, the day that I have to walk a few blocks because I'd missed the school bus (was waiting for my turn of aiskrim potong from a street hawker) hahahahah....and a lot more, surely writing about those memories would take days and can't fit in just one entry.

Hmm...wait...where am I going with this. I want to write about Yaya. Oh yes... this is about school homework. I remembered that everyday, the teachers would left us with many homeworks, at least one for each subject, and everyday, I need to speed a few hours to do it and make revisions. I guess nowdays is pretty much the same in Malaysia right.

Over here, they kids do get homework, but it was sooo easy compare to what I had in those years. The teacher will set up the homework for the whole week on Monday, and the kids can do them any time they like before Friday. On Friday all homework will be passed up. Except for writing, they have to do it everyday. Well if I was Yaya, I can complete everything in just one sitting, hahahahahhaha... So Yaya becomes lazy when doing her homework. Everyday I have to nag her to do it properly. To write the letter clearly, to colour those pictures nicely, to count carefully. Often she had to redo the writing, the colouring and the counting after I have reviewed her work. Aduhaiiiiiii....geram betul. I keep telling her, "Yaya kalau kat Malaysia nie, lagi banyak tau, cikgu pun tak bagi kakak A, you will get an E". Tapi susah gak nak explain, because over here the teacher will not grade the work, well at least for year 2 students. So she can't imagine what I meant by grading A or E.

Tension jugak makcik tu when I keep pestering her to do the homework yang tak seberapa tu properly.

Then one day, she came home with an award.

Her first award this year. Dah pandai tengok jam dah....hehehehhehhe So all my nagging have finally paid off .... but still a lot more to go. Although the teachers do not grade the students' work, but they do give award occasionally. Mesti balik Malaysia Yaya kena kejutan budaya in term of homework nih!!

And the school also provided access to the students to do Mathletics through internet. Yaya will spend between 20 - 30 minutes doing mathematic exercises everyday. Usually when I am not using the machine.

And often adik will sit next to Yaya macam paham la apa yang kakak dia buat :D

2 benda adik akan minta selalu

apa nak citer ekkk... big boss dah kasi dateline...errr kira deadline laaa... jadi sedang bekerja keras untuk menyiapkan semua kerja2 sebelum pulang ke tanah air ku yang tercinta...for good... itu la kata-kata azimat yang tersemat di dada den buat masa ni.

ok....nie kisah mengenai adik....hmmm...tiap-tiap hari, dan hampir sepanjang masa, kira kekerapan tinggi juga la, dia akan mintak..........

tu kat mulut dia tu......

adoiii...susah betul nak pisahkan... mak suh letak benda pahit...tapi tak tau nak letak ape? any suggestion??

dan....adik kalau makan...nasi kosong sahaja....susah betul nak letak kuah ke, lauk ke. kalau letak lauk, kena pastikan plain, kosong, takde warna-warna. lepas tu jgn campur dengan nasi. kalau tak bagi aje lauk, baru dia makan.

tapi minum susu sangat laa kerap...tu yg badan dia sedap sikit tu...kira adik nie cerewet sikit bab makan, tapi ok laaa... nasik mmg kena masak tiap2 hari
ok laaa... lain kali cerita lagi

10-minute post: Rindu bangat same kupi O

But how come I didn't missed it? Hampir 2 minggu tanpa kopi, not even a small dose of it in my regular milo for brekkie.

Sign of aging....ehhh?! On the other hand, I managed to keep the kopi O stock last longer...yeahh.....

eh dah bulan rejabkan..tak lame lagi ramadhan.... dah abis bayar hutang ke? ehem....

Makan nasi briyani at Tingalpa

hey hey hey... dah lama dah tak jalan-jalan cari tempat makan halal kat Brisbane. Two weeks ago, we went to a new place, recommended by a good friend of mine. It was about 40 minutes drive from Brisbane. It was an Indian restaurant, called "Get it India". We ordered two plates of briyani (chicken and lamb), two serving of pappadom, two lassi and one orange juice. The briyani came with raita. And it was the best briyani we ever had in Brisbane (and of course cannot beat Hyderabad briyani).

kisah HD... biasa biasa aje

kong kong kong.... tu la bunyi yang dominasi rumah skrang nih....bunyi ape tu?? bunyi batuk den haaa... makin menjadi-jadi pulak... skrang tengah berpantang, pantang kupi, pantang benda manis....dan yg paling semua orang kat rumah nie suke....pantang bersuara .... errrkkk...bukan banyak cakap...tapi kurangkan bercakap....

ok..dah lame tak citer pasal makanan...food food food .... heheheheh... actually mood masak dah ilang, ntah lesap ke mana, maybe buried under piles of papers on this table. sebarang request untuk makan itu dan ini tidak lagi dilayan serta merta, semua perlu dipertimbangkan. teruk teruk... nak menulis dalam english pun ilang macam tu aje... maybe I have spent hours of writing, the brain refuse to spell out in english... orang kata drain out....orang kata..bukan den....hahahahah

ok... tak mau citer panjang... nie kisah HD....Hot Dog.... issshhhh itu pun nak citer kan...hahahahah....sorry, saje nak citer, nie la kali pertama den buat HD... dulu tak jumpe frankfurter nie, manjang la beli BBQ sausage, bila dah jumpe.... dah tak nak beli BBQ sausage. tapi tak bleh lawan la sosej Ayamas dan Ramly.

muka penuh masalah

lately nie mmg banyak fikir, macam-macam hal nak kena fikir..sampaikan sorang kawan tegur...

"eh...bukan awak sorang aje la yg ada masalah"

eh...nampak sangat ke muke den nie ada masalah...sampai dia boleh tegur camtu.... I knew she meant good, sebab dia bukan jenis yg suke tegur kalau tak penting. dia nak cakap pun penuh berhati-hati....and I knew she said it to make me feel at ease.

but it really hit me.... and make me realised that I've been thinking too much, hoping this and that to happen....

aiyah....man man lorr....

10-minute post: "Apa adik cakap" Pt.3

The winter got me again, stuffy nose, chesty cough, nose bleed, sume complete in one package. I know I know...you will probably suggest that I should lie down and rest. I wish I could, but too many things to do. What I can do is to turn in early, itupun pukul 11 malam. And try to avoid taking medicine. Ubat kat sini sume tak jalan, errrr...ok la..tapi lambat. So everytime we went home we bought bundle of cold n flu medicine. Tapi ngantuk maa... so...I only took those before going to bed at night. yes...another excuse kan...

Anyway I just swallowed 10 ml of cough syrup, after a week of coughing and just relied on my good 'nelayan' friend and honey, rasa ada bengkak sikit kat leher, and coughing out thick phlegm (padan muka), baru la terhegeh2 suruh atang belikan ubat. hahhahahah....owwwhh dah seminggu tak minum kupi, but since I am having a bad cough, I didn't missed it. Owwwhhh batuk...pergi la jauh2....

ooohhh I think the cough medicine is taking control of my brain and nerve, getting dizzy and sleepy.....

before I dozed off in front of the machine, I would like to share adik's vocabulary (and the last I have on the list, been selfish to not notice adik's new word...aiyah....)
