Salam Maal Hijrah....Salam Tahun Baru

Salam kengkawan and friends. May everybody in good health. The new hijrah year has started, and soon the new year of masihi will come. Hope everyone has planned for the whole year. Wish a great success, wealth and health to all of you.

Thanks again for all the doa and prayers for my abah. I was back in Malaysia, a couple of weeks ago, for several days, to visit him. Though his condition is not promising, but alhamdullillah his spirit to keep going is still strong. We now hope for the best for abah. The tumor is at stage 4. What a shocked we had when we learnt the truth, and that is only after the doc told abah, with the presence of mak, along and bang long about abah condition, almost a week after the operation. I was on the way to the airport with my brother, heading home to Brisbane, when my sistah, along called my bro, and told him everything. I knew immediately, from the tone of my bro's voice, that it was not a good news. Yup, the bad news came just before I was leaving Malaysia, but not at abah bedside.

Abah is now recovering from the stiches and wound at home. Doc, on medical advice, unable to remove the stomach that was affected by the tumor. The medical team had to perform three bypasses to abah's intestines and colon, so all the food will no longer go into the stomach. As a result, abah has to change his diet to soft food. That was from my understanding. We will wait for the advice of an oncologist for abah's treatment. Meanwhile, we hope abah in stabil condition, hope everything is good for abah. What ever the doc said about his time, that is just on medical term, life and death is in Allah's hand.

A week after abah's operation, my sistah and her family, came and visit us in Brisbane. They spent 10 days here. The trip was already planned early this year. They were supposed to come a week earlier, due to this circumstances, my sistah postponed (well actually, she nearly cancelled it) a week after. We were very happy that they finally here in Brisbane. And for the rest of the week, we were the hosts and tour guides for them. The bonus is, our two little princesses are here. Came with my sistah and will stay until my completion. So we are back as 'one' again.

My nephews and niece, penat n ngantuk after 8 hours of flying.

Our itinerary of 10 days:

Brisbane view at night at Mount Cootha;

bus rides, citycat rides;

koala and kangaroo visit at Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary;

fruit picking, juice tasting, fruit eating and that delicious apple pie at Stanthorpe;

sale! sale! and sale! shopping at DFO, Carrara Market and Harbour Town;

MovieWorld, DreamWorld, Wet and Wild (we only went to the MovieWorld, the rest of the parks my sistah and her family went by themselves)

and last, the Queens St Mall tour.

phewwwwhhh.... 10 days, and that is not enough, there are still other places that we couldn't visit. For 10 days, the ten of us (with my sistah's family of 6), crammed together in our small crib. The kids did enjoyed themselves, and the adults couldn't be better, though with a hole in our pocket, seeing the happy faces, hearing the laughter, what more a parent would asked for. My sistah and her family went home on boxing day (after the boxing day shopping of course). Leaving us to finish what I have came for. And I got 9 months more to the finish line. And that is only my new year wish.

Hope you too, friends had a wonderful holidays. Till I have the time again, take care and salam.

The pain inside...will it subside?

Salam kengkawan, friends, and to those who are following this blog. My gratitude to all of you who keep on visiting this humble place of mine, although I have not written any new, fun, and informative story lately. This place look so melancholic, just like me.

Just received news about abah's condition. He was finally wheeled into the OT yesterday, before noon, after being postponed twice. The operation lasted almost 8 hours, but the surgeons had to do something beyond what they have planned before. Abah was finally wheeled out from the OT after 7 pm, and was placed in the recovery room.

This morning, I was told by my sistah, that the surgeons did not remove the stomach (that was affected), but instead they made 3 bypasses, so abah's stomach is not functioning anymore. The reason why they did that was unclear. Hope by today, the medical team will explain what was actually happened, and what will happen next.

Feel uneasy here, hopefully nothing serious happen (although this is serious enough). Actually I don't know what to hope for. But I just want abah to not feel any pain (is that possible) or any complication after this.

Anxiously waiting.....

yours truly,
