Bazar Ramadhan @ Brisbane : the visit

6th of Ramadhan. As usual, Saturday is our outing day (teringat zaman kat jasin, malam jumaat dah pikir nak outing mane. Liza ko pun same kan....hahahah). So we went to Coles for groceries. At around 2 pm, we went to West End to visit Asma and Rahmat. Asma has delivered a baby boy on the morning of the 31st August. Anak merdeka-post-merdeka...heheheheh.... We were there just a short while, bulan puasa bukan bleh minum teh pun...heheheheh... then we rush back to St Lucia, heading Guyatt Park...for...jeng jeng jeng....

(tengok orang ramai kerumun gazebo tu.....)

The Bazar Ramadhan ...hehehehheh. We were expecting a large number of stalls. However it turned out, there were only 8 to 9 stalls there.

We have already ordered 2 pack of Laksa Penang from Naim, so we just went there to pick them up...plus that 'kuih ijau'....plus Laksam.... we end up buying popia basah and 2 packs of Nasi Ayam...

Looking around I saw others were selling soto, laksa johor, nasi tomato, murtabak, nasi ambang, nasi lemak, agar-agar, popia basah, donut, keria and kuay teow goreng. The famous nasi kerabu kak Ha was already gone went we arrived.

The price range AD 4 to AD 5 for heavy dishes (nasi and noodle). Kuih about AD 0.50 to AD 1 per piece. Macam harga kat Malaysia aje.... cume dalam Aus dollar....

We already ordered Nasi Lemak for next week....gegegegeggege.....baik punye plan...

Ramadhan di perantauan

This is the second year we spend Ramadhan in Brisbane. Last year Ramadhan was a bit lonely, at first. We missed breaking fast with the family, and all the things that happened during Ramadhan. However, weeks later, we got used to the new environment, and although nothing can replace the ambiance back home, nevertheless we enjoy every little bit of it.

One of the memorable event last Ramadhan, is iftar (berbuka puasa). PPMQ has organised two events relating to that. We had gotong royong, cooking the iftar dishes together. During that moment, I really felt like I am back in Malaysia. Syahdu sikit masa tu...hahahahha... Not forgetting friends who invited us to their place for breaking fast. Seronok...

And this year, again PPMQ will organise iftar, twice. InsyaAllah we will attend the iftar before we go back to our hometown. Jom gi.... there will be a gotong royong. Time to catch up with your friends.....Yeaaaaa

Salam Ramadhan Al-Mubarak

Salam Ramadhan to all Muslim. Salam Ramadhan to family, relatives and all friends, wherever you are.

Selamat menjalani ibadah puasa.

Fasting commence tomorrow, Monday 1st September

The New Moon has been sighted and confirmation has been given by Imam shabir from ANIC . Fasting will begin on Mon, 1st Sep. Ramadhan Mubarak from QLD MUSLIMS
