Ramadhan Mubarak - Puasa di perantauan

We started fasting on the 14th of September. Menanti kedatangan Ramadhan kat sini macam tak de perasaan je...hahahhahha.... am saying this because everything went by like a normal day. Well you cant expect it will be the same like Malaysia, because it will never be. Kat sini mana ada pengumuman hari puasa, mane ada makluman tempat-tempat nak tengok anak bulan Ramadhan. It's all depend on word of mouth, and the muslim times website. So according to our friends, we can follow Malaysia if we like. Infact we can follow any muslims community here.

Malaysia started fasting on Thursday, 13th September. So we were quite confidence to follow Malaysia. Atang were working on Wednesday evening as usual. So after maghrib we had (Atang came home for maghrib) early dinner. Then after isya' I performed terawikh. During prayer, there were several call came in, including some text messaging. But I just ignore it, and only looked at the messages after I finish performing the terawikh. The messages were from Atang n friends, informing me that Puasa will start on Friday for muslim in Brisbane. hahahhahhahahha.... And so we started fasting on Friday. But there are some people started fasting on Thursday. Yang penting yakin.

During typing this, it has been 17 days of fasting. Alhamdulillah. Mula-mula kureng sikit la puasa, sebab asyik teringat Mesia je, Pasar Ramadhan laaa, keriuhan dan suasana berbuka dan selepasnya, kat ofis pulak dengan kemeriahan order kuih rayenya. But as the days went by, syiok juga berpuasa di negara orang nie. Ada juga pasar ramadhan, eventhough it was held only on Saturday. Ada orang jamu berbuka lagi. Semalam (Saturday, 29th) berbuka beramai-ramai dekat masjid west end. Next week giliran orang-orang kat St Lucia pulak. Lepas tu dah raya.

Kuih raya pun ada juga yg buat business. I ordered jam tart and almond landon. Cuma memang la tak sama dengan suasana kat Malaysia. Anyway like Mas said... bukan lame pun.... 3 tahun je. Sebelum datang sini dah puas merasai kemeriahan beraya.... lepas 3 tahun, dapat merasa semula. Nie pun tinggal 2 tahun aje lagi.... Probably next year we will go back home to celebrate raya. InsyaAllah, and that left with just 1 year to celebrate it here. hehehhehhe....

Itu la pengalamankan. Kalau tak, tak merasa la rindu dan bertapa seronoknye raya di Malaysia, ye tak...
