A break... feel like cooking the whole day today

Had one whole day of discussion and data crunching yesterday. And last night we had nasi lemak for dinner, tapau punye, double thumbs up for the nasi lemak. After the dinner, all four of us cuddled together, in front of the TV watching Saw VI (the finale). At first I wanted to complete the data crunching, but adik was clinging to me all the time (missing me so much for leaving her one whole day)..so what the heck. Dah lama tak tengok movie, and surely I didn't want to miss the last of Saw. Thumbs up for Saw VI. But I still favor the first one. "Game Over".

OK...nak masak....right now yaya is peeling some carrots and patotoes. Yup, I have a kitchen helper now. So happy that she wants to help with the cooking. She hates doing the dishes though, so we appointed her as the "set-the-table" maid hahahhaha and "clean-up the table" maid after the meal. OK..nak masak ape today?

Oh yes... today is a public holiday in Australia. And the start of 1-week school break. We anticipated a busy weekend ahead.

Semalam tengok Papadom

Semalam den tengok PapaDom. Fullhouse kengkawan.... Citer memang best giler. I guess nowadays with all the social problem out there, we tend to be over protective on our children. And I am totally agree with the storyline. Nothing superficial. Sedih pun ada, gua tangkap leleh babe...ahahahahha...

So korang, gi la tengok. Kalau tak, rugiiiiii. Seriusnye. Tapi korang, jangan la beli cetak rompak ye, tu ibarat mencuri. Jangan la mengayakan pihak-pihak yang tak bertanggungjawab tu, umpama parasit dan lintah. Kalau korang beli, korang pun macam parasit dan lintah gak.... Ingat!!

Tu dia...bukan apa, sokong la industri tempatan sikit. Kalau bukan kita, siapa lagi kan (sedih la bila dengar citer orang cetak rompak Upin dan Ipin tu....isssshhhhhhhhh)

Awan

Salam kengkawan and hi friends....

Nie tgh panaskan enjin, tengah patah2kan jari, pusing kanan pusing kiri, carik idea nak nulis...wakakkakaka... I do feel lazy to write a story. May be for now, I just read your story, and spamming your comment boxes......OK aje kan....hehehehe....

Best betul balik Malaysia.... I did have a good time....enjoying the unofficial break so much, with a bonus of musim buah.... I ate a lot of durian, enjoying the king of fruit from dusun kampung. Makan nasi berulam tempoyak, ghatah camtu yo pun sodap, ahahahaha. This time no pictures were taken of any of the makan2 event, coz I had a lazy, lazy vacation. Syioooookkkkk.... I guess that is what you feel when you have been wanting a break for a long time, and when you get it, your mind and body felt lazy, just follow the flow. Nonetheless, enjoying every bit and second of it.

Though I like to travel, seeing new places especially, but I hate the journey. Why... because I can't have a decent sleep during the flight. I am amazed to those who can easily doze off right after take off. Nasib baik I am the type who like to read and love staring outside the window for a long time...ahahahahah.... I love awan ....And of course I will took many pictures of them...

Cantikkan..... SubhanAllah...... rasa syahdu aje bila tengok awan-awan nie.

rasa cam nak lompat2 aje kan....ahahhahahhahah.....

On the way back to Brisbane, it was our first time travelling in daytime. And I guess laluan dia a bit different, because I never saw the view before. Menyesal pulak tak kuar kamera masa tu. We went over Surabaya, and I saw mountains with peaks surrounded by clouds....cantikkkk....SubhanAllah....

Itu la aje pengubat di kala busan dalam pesawat....ahahhahahah....

Ok tukar channel.... We went to the cinema last Friday to watch Harry Potter 6..... it is a disappointment for me. I became more confused. I guess those who have read the book feel that way too....or maybe it has been 3 years, sudah lupa sikit2 laaa...but still.... I am not satisfied with the movie. Rasa starting Goblet of fire tu dah mula macam tak best.... bukan senang nak buat movie dari buku yang tebal2 tu ekkkk.....

Movie: Mirrors

We watched this movie recently. One scary horror movie. It is about the unrest souls that haunt an old departmental store that was burnt down by a former employee. Same storyline like the "House on the haunted hill" and "The haunting". This movie was adapted from a Korean movie, "Into the mirrors".

If horror is one of your fav genre, I recommend you to watch "Mirrors".

Movie: Night at the Museum 2

We are the fan of Ben Stiller. My favourite one is There's Something About Mary. Last week was the opening of the Night At The Museum 2 (a friend of my told me the same in Malaysia).

We love the first one. So we surely didn't want to miss this one. We went to the cinema last Saturday, the 9.30 pm show (it was the last show of the day....no midnite show laaa).

It was hilarious, wickedly funny. You guys should watch it. It is much better than the first one. Too many funny scene. However, there is a love story in it, but to me, takde pun tak pe laaa :D.

The most funny scene, when the "thinker" was flirting at a woman statue, and he said, "fire power..." while showing off his biceps...ahahahhaha... ok don't want to excite you guys more...huhu

Anyway, this is not a disappointment, it is merely a wish *wink wink*. Heard that you can get it in DVD soon. Hey, maybe my wish will come true one day :D.

So friend, kindly remind me when the DVD is out ya. 10Q.

A tag about Romantic movies

Last 2 weeks, I was busy with some reading and writing about my research, until I couldn't find time to review and finalised already created entries for publication (owwwhhh mentang2 la tengah tulis paper, ayat skema). All I managed to do was, forwarding information from my mailbox, that I found it is important for me to share with my friends. Ok enough said. My mission for this week (I was doing this reviewing job on Saturday, hence I made a promise) is to publish all the entries (that I have so far), starting with this particular entry (takut ada yang merajuk nanti, *wink wink*)

I was tag by ms iszan from JB (tukar tag pada "sep" la, macam main kejar2 tu, ko kena sep, ko kena berhenti kan). Thank you la cik iszan oiii... saje kan, tau aku tak tengok citer2 romantik nie sangat.... sib baik mintak 5 yo. Dan 5 nie jugak la, kalau suh atang tengok sekali, boleh la dia duduk kejap, sebab bukan romantik yang tangkap leleh, kalau tak...jgn harap la dia nak tengok citer2 nie.

Ok... nie kerja rumah yang ms iszan kasi....
---------------------------
Please copy the following rules in your post (as usual)
1. You have to point out 5 romantic movies that you would love to share with your loved ones..
2. It doesn't have to be in order.. as long as you love the movies, it will be fine..
3. You have to tag another 5 person to answer this tag

In no particular order.

OK....so here is my so called romantic movies list....

1. Wicker park

(have watch this movie several time, and every time I will cry at the same scenes. atang did watch this movie, and he said, "apa la mamat tu...")

2. Pretty woman

hmmmm.... can watch this many time too

3. Excess baggage

watch this with atang once....

4. Dirty dancing (nobody put baby in the corner)

don't know whether atang will like to watch this....

5. You've got mail

our favorite.... because of tom hanks, and meg ryan....

Oooo do I need to elaborate futher? It didn't say in the instruction...so tak payah la ekk.....

OK...so I would like to tag this to these unlucky lucky:

1. The supermom Liza
2. The entrepreneur lady Iza
3. The talking ladybird Ms Taj
4. The roaring lady Ms Tigris
5. The malay girl at jipang who is finishing her thesis Ms Jas

the moving Cost

Ohhh I hope this is the one and only moving we need to do here in Brisbane. Besides the exhausting period, there are some money that we need to set aside for this purpose. Here are the rough figure:

Hire movers = $40 on wkdays, $50 on wknd (we hired them on wkend, for 3 hours)
Utility moving/reconnection fees:
Telephone/fixed line = $59
Electricity = $28.70
Broadband = $99

Apa lagi ek...... hmmmmmmm

Oh yes!! Tu tak masuk cost peluh dan keringat....ahaks......

Movie : "Sepi"

One day, a friend of mine wrote on her FB status about "Sepi". She just finish watching it and recommend the movie to her friends. I asked my friend who are in the movie. Upon knowing that one of the actor is Afdlin, I became tempted to watch it. But downloading task is never my liking. However, I know a person who his hobby is to download movies. To make the story short, I managed to cilok the movie and watch it.

I like the starting part, lepas tu, terus rasa boring. Tapi nak tengok gak ending dia, but I don't want to skip any part, no no. Jadi dengan penuh kesabaran, ku nonton gak sampai abis.

Tak suke la watak Afdlin dalam nie. Emotionally, I don't feel sad at all, because most of time I was critisizing the character. Patut la ada orang cakap, "nie bukan cerita melayu nie". I agree with that statement, sebab banyak perkara yang bukan budaya kita.

And that is what I feel about the movie.

Movie : "P.S. I Love You"

Another ketinggalan zaman thing, I know you guys have watch this movie. Thanks to iza for giving me the idea to watch this movie. It is a romantic-comedy genre, am sure many of you like this movie. Tangkap leleh juga la den...ahahahhaha....

This is the first time I watch Hillary Swank acting in this type of movie. I only knew Swank from "The Next Karate Kid", "Million Dollar Baby", "Boys Don't Cry" and "The Gift". Swank's character in these movie are aggresive, troubled and boyish. So I was suprised seeing Swank in "PS I Love You". Half way through the movie, I realised, Swank looked like someone familiar, but I couldn't figure it out until I was talking to atang about the movie the next day (I watched the movie without atang). When I said the main actor is Swank, he couldn't believe at first, because he thought it was Jennifer Garner on the cover. *tiingg*, yes Jennifer Garner, no wonder Swank looked like someone familiar. Seriously, I think, Swank acting like Garner. Or maybe that is Swank way. What do you think?

Again, I am not good at evaluating a movie. My opinion, Ok laaa movie nie. But for a romantic comedy, still can't beat Pretty Woman and Wicker Park. That's my benchmark.

To those yang belum nengok...gi la nengok. Sediakan kotak tisu ye.

Movie : Saw 5

We have been an avid follower of Saw. Saw 5 was released on October 23rd in Australia.

So last Saturday we went to Birch and Caroll megaplex to watch the movie. If you have never watch the previous series (need to start with Saw), you will never understand what is the movie all about. Bewarn, this movie is not for faint-hearted (chewah...ada berani ka?).

Verdict: I have read the synopsis before watching the movie, so kinda know what to expect laaaa...anyway in term of story line, props, and trill, I prefer Saw II better. For Saw V, I don't like the ending, coz I think, whatever decision that Agent Straum has to make, he still can't get away, alive.

Thoughts: After reading about the ordeal that Ijah and Zubed were facing, I kinda anticipate people like Jigsaw is real (OK...this is an evil thing to say, I know this is not right... but still). Jigsaw idea of rehabilitation and to give a second chance (if you have guts and strong, after all people said, if you are not wrong, why must you fear) can scare some people, especially people who think they can escape from the crime they have committed.

But always remember, ALLAH is MOST powerful, NOT human.

(Surah Al-Anbiya: ayat 87)

OTH Season 4

Yesssss.... I have finish watching OTH season 4. There are 6 cds, and 21 episodes altogether. Total time spent : 15 hours (I skipped the boring part). I think enough for the movie marathon, for now. Am now busy writing a paper and preparing for data collection.

Am not good at reviewing TV series. So don't expect me to that ya... :D. But for those fanatic of OTH (who have missed out the season, especially Ms Taj) go and grab it. I saw a number of episodes available on youtube.

Enjoy the famous OTH theme song, sang by Gavin DeGraw.

One Tree Hill

Are you One Tree Hill fan? I am. Ooohh I got the idea of writing about OTH from Ms Taj. Thanks Ms Taj for reminding me about this TV series that I used to follow.

I have totally forgotten about OTH. I have been an avid follower of this TV series before. I couldn't remember the last season that I have seen. Maybe season 3, the one that Lucas was diagnosed with heart problem. Oh is it season 3? A quick search on OTH at Google, informing me that OTH is now season 5. That means I have missed 2 seasons (if I did watched the 3rd season).

This is one of the character from OTH. Lucas Heart Eyes hehehhehe.... He is one of the reason why I couldn't/wouldn't miss the show (don't worry you guys, Atang knows I have crushed on him). Thanks to StarWorld via Astro for having the rerun of the OTH if I missed the show.

And this is Peyton. I knew she and Lucas will eventually be together. I don't know whether the TV series is here in Brisbane. It definately not in the regular TV channel. Maybe in FoxTel (FoxTel is like Astro).

Today is Atang's movie selection day. You will get cheaper price of renting a DVD at Leading Edge Video only on Tuesday. Am thinking of tagging along Atang today, search for OTH box set (I think I saw it last week) and slip it amongst Atang's stack of to-rent DVDs, hoping that he will rent it for me. Roll

Oh...another TV series to catch up, The OC.

Yaya thingy with the Bratz...

Yaya has watched all Bratz movie available so far at DVD rented outlet where babah would often visit every Tuesday. No more new Bratz movie for yaya to watch. So she keeps playing the only Bratz dvd that babah has bought her.

Though we knew that lately yaya has shown her affection to Bratz, there are no Bratz merchandise own by yaya, except for this dvd. Mine you, Bratz toys are more expensive than Barbie. Even all yaya's Barbie dolls where bought when there were on sale. Occasionally Kmart would cut the price during clearance sale. But not on Bratz dolls. We are not being stringent, just that we know that one day it will be on sale. So we are waiting for that moment.

Which character you think yaya love most, can u guess? hah...Yaya loves Cloe. When I ask her why, she said because Cloe is beautiful, yup that is her exact answer. Cloe is the blonde girl. She even talks and walks like Cloe. I did mentioned before, that yaya likes this girlie, beautiful things (unlike her mother). My beloved sistah told me that her only daughter also fond of Bratz. So yaya, you have kak mira to share and chat about this thingy when we go back to Malaysia soon.

Oh yes...about this particular movie that yaya keeps playing whenever she is permitted to watch a movie. There is one song in the movie that is so kewl.... "So Good". Even I like the song. I did recorded yaya singing and dancing this song, but the size is to large to post it here. Instead I post this video clip for you guys. Just a note, yaya is strumming the guitar imitating Cloe in the video that I have captured. Enjoy....

Movie : Scary movie 4

Yes I know this is old... but still I recommending you guys, if you haven't watch it, to buy or rent or borrow or steal or whatever, to watch it...
my fav part....is when Cindy is speaking to that little ghost boy from Juon... they are making conversation as if they are speaking japanese....but what they said were just japanese brand name or trademark....
"aiwa, toshiba, mitsubishi.."... "kamikaze banzai"..."terriyaki, sushi, shashimi.."..."fujitsu..."
so slapstick funny... I had a good laugh last weekend...
