Safe n Sound... tapi sendattttt..... perrghhhh

Dear friends/kengkawan,

We had a safe journey. Alhamdullillah no problem at the arrival hall. And we are in good health, except for minor jetlag experienced. One thing for sure both of us are bloated,ahahhaha.. for two reason. One due to the hot weather here, my hands and feet kembang, like a sponge soak in the water. I can't wear my wedding rings and my shoes are now in size 6 (need to buy a pair of new shoes for the conference).

Second, is because of the makan-makan agenda that my mom and siblings prepared. Saturday's dinner, pucuk ubi lemak, ayam kurma, sambal tempoyak, and ikan masin. The next day breakfast, roti canai tobing, lunch bento at ichiban ramen, then KFC for dinner. Second day breakfast nasi lomak sambal potai, lunch at Alamanda secret recipe, dinner at my sistah's place of arab chicken and mutton nasi beryani. And this morning breakfast, pulut with sambal potai. And now I am smelling a wonderful smell of ikan masak lomak cili api. wakakakakkak.... My family loves us so much, we gave them junk food to make them fat, and in exchange they prepared us with scrumptious meals that will make us not just fat but lazy and sleepy too :D

OK enough of rambling...my angels are waiting for me upstairs for a game on PS. Owwhhh I made I big mistake of accidently leaving my camera cable behind. Will ask abah if his cable fits my camera. Need to pack for tonight journey. Am leaving fro Hyderabad at 10pm.

See you soon.

Dear friends, kengkawan...

I am leaving Brisbane for 2 weeks starting tomorrow. Am not sure whether I am able to update this blog (will try my very best to).

I have one day workshop today, in between have to run down to Budget Car Rental to rent a car. Then, send the car home and rush back to the workshop. Have last minute packing to do tonight.
Try to see you before taking off tomorrow. Pray for a safe journey for us. Until next time, take care all. Cya.

Finale: A bag full of junk food..yeah

Hahaha... one bag full of junk foods, fats and sugar.... Let's make them fat like us nyeh nyeh nyeh....

Yup, we finally packed our bags. We bought loads of Doritos and Smiths for our relatives. Need to get that "Fragile" sticker for the bag. Otherwise they will eat crumbs instead of chips :D.

My PDA is full with travel agenda while I am in Malaysia. Have to visit my bro and my new nephew, my uncle (recently diagnosed with cancer), my sistah (of cos a must) and not forgetting my in-laws. Ooohhh my MIL was diagnosed with cervical cancer pulak. Earlier this year she was cleared of any tumour at her small intestines (that she suffered last year). Cancereous has become normal occurence nowadays ye....gerun...

I also need to meet some people regarding my research. And also meeting some friends who have been for long pestering us to meet (wakakakka...sorry la kawan, just to emphasis je) ok ok...we too can't wait to see them. Jom ngeteh, korang belanja ekk..wakakaka

Tomorrow, I will be attending a workshop for the whole day. 1 more day to go yippie.

Balik kampung : Episode 11 : the warmest welcome

Mak was waiting for us at home. Abah said that she was cooking something special. Yeaaaa...... dalam kepala dah macam terbayang masakan mak...must be one of her delicious masak kunin....ikan salai ngan belimbing besi kot....or telur itik ngan pegaga....hmmm must be ikan tenggiri ngan mangga muda.....or maybe daging salai ngan rebung....geggegegegeg....

Masa sampai tu... waktu Brisbane sikit lagi nak masuk waktu berbuka.... sebab tu yang terbayang makanan tu....hahahhahaha.... Only that day, we fast longer than usual. 14 hours of fasting.... nie kalau travel selalu...bleh kurus kerempeng....hahhahahhah

Anyway, once we reach home, yaya jumped out of the car and yell....."Wannnnnnn......" lagi satu saat sedih campur gumbira. It has been 1 year and a half since we left the house. Masa tu perasaan gumbira macam nak lompat2....ala2 lompat atas trampoline....hahahhaha....

Along and family came down from KL for berbuka with us.... The table was full of delicacy.... penuh meja....sedap2 belaka.....Orang Brisbane dah lame tak makan hebat2 macam nie....Alamak... sure naik balik berat badan nie (I have lost 10 kg)....kena kawal napsu napsi nie...

You know what...mak masak gulai daging salai ngan belimbing....ngan sambal udang petoi....syiok.....sehingga menjilat kuku ..... gegegegege....

Balik kampung : Episode 10 : the journey

that morning I got up at 2 am. Just had 2 hours of sleep before that. Took my bath, dress up, woke up atang and yaya. With just a single shoke, yaya woke up. The excitement of going back to Malaysia was immediately shown on her face. It is not easy to wake up yaya. Sib baik she made no hassle that morning. Then thirah woke up because of the commotion.

After sahur, it was time for final checkup. Luggages were line up near the door. Later, perform subuh, than atang took down all the luggages to Lan's garage. Lan has offered to sent us to the airport. We left the house at little past 5 am. Spring is here in Brisbane, so it was not that dark outside.

At 20 past 6, we arrived at Coolangatta airport. Check-in, and we board the flight at around 8 am. The flight departed as schedule 8.40am Brisbane time.

This was our first time travelling with AirAsia. And I am glad that we travelled with AirAsia. Cost wise we are comfortable with it. Cuma travel ngan baby was a bit challenging and tiring.

Unlike MAS, where they have limited menu, AirAsia offered a variety of food. Since yaya tak puasa (she always claimed that she is), I ordered her chicken gourmet sandwich...which according to her..."sedap la mak".... cuma yang kelakarnye.... order food..lepas tu kena bayar...gegegeggege.....order air...bayar....

Athirah was restless. Yela orang dah merangkak and memanjat....kena constraint mengamuk sahaja laaa... so atang and me have to take turn of dukung thirah. She only had a bit of sleeping. Penat betul....

We landed 5 minutes early, @ 3.05pm Malaysia time. It took 8 hours and a half to get to Malaysia. Rasa kaki dah lembik dah.....Abah came to pick us up. Once yaya saw her atok, she immediately scream and ran to atok. What a happy moment.

Flat-out

Sorry you guys, I have been busy settling down. Guess what, I have bought a prepaid starter pack, have completed all the instruction for registration, and have successfully sent a couple of messages out. It turned out later, I couldn't make any phone call neither text messaging. I thought I was out of credit (duhh...which I thought peculiar hence I just used it a couple of time).

After checking up all the settings, I got so frustrated, asked atang to call up service centre. Oh yes, after every attempt of using the line, I will received an sms saying that my # has expired. What!!!!... So atang call up the service centre. Apparently, the # indeed has expired. I was shocked.... unbelievable... boleh jadi camtu ka?? # pun ada expiry date....

Anyway...malas nak babbling about this (I have did that the whole yesterday afternoon, atang tahan telinga aje la dengar)..... Have no choice but to get a new starter pack. Bile la service kat sini nak tip top ye??? Hmmmm.......

Today another busy day. Am going up to VSP to kemas-kemas sikit rumah (I doubt it is a mess, since my loving mak and abah went up every 2 months to clean up the house). InsyaAllah will reside at VSP starting this Saturday (Liza, nanti ku calling2 ya). Have an appointment at AG later in the afternoon. Than back to Seremban.

Have some interesting story to share. Will update soon. InsyaAllah.

p/s: Athirah asyik clinging on me. Mungkin sebab tempat baru and panas sikit....adeh....

Safely landed at LCC Terminal

Alhamdullillah... the journey was smooth.. salute to the captain for the smooth take-off and landing.

8 and a half hours of journey....so exhausting. Thirah was restless, few hours before we landed.
I am experiencing jet-lag now.... macam owl dah nie...nak tido..tapi tak bleh tido.....

Going to slumber now.

Brisbane - Coolangatta - Sepang - Seremban

We have probably left the Coolangatta airport by the time this entry is published. Can't wait to be home with the family. However, can't help but feeling exhausted when thinking of works that have to be done in Malaysia, worrying whether all can be completed on time.
Doakan perjalanan kami selamat. See you soon.

Balik kampung : Episode 9 : the Luggages

We have done packing. Three luggages that are full with clothes. 2 luggages are reserved for yaya and athirah. Atang and me are travelling light.

thirah wants to put herself inside the luggage....hahahhha.... she is into 'memanjat' nowadays. Semua nak dipanjatnya.

Yaya is busy organising her books, which I told her that those need to go later because we dont have anymore room in the luggage.

and that includes you thirah. You definately wont fit in any of those luggages now.

Balik kampung : Episode 8 : The farewell card

A farewell card created by her classmates, Prep B, has made Yaya beeming for the rest of the day.

Inside of the card

Balik kampung : Episode 7 : Another request to complete

My dear brother requested some item. So off we went to DFO on Friday to get some stuff.

We sent Yaya to school because it was her last day and the class was having a farewell party for her.

Due to time constraint we just went to several outlets.

OK another errand complete. The luggages are full now... so no more shopping ya....

Balik kampung : Episode 6 : Yaya last week @ Ironside State school

Last week was Yaya final week at Ironside State School. I brought along the dedicated S200 and took some pictures. That morning I spent some time with her at school. Accompanying her, saying goodbye to all her friends. By the look on her face, I know she was feeling sad. However, she cover it up by laughing and cheering, as usual. Here are some pictures of her with her friends.

Balik kampung : Episode 5 : Athirah and Nanny Ani

This week, we sent thirah to Ani 3 days in a row. We would like to give thirah extra time to spend with her nanny. This week is the last week thirah will be spending her time with ani and family. Next week, insyaAllah we will depart to Malaysia, back to our home town, to celebrate hari raya with our family and relatives. By the time we come back to Brisbane, Ani and family may have return to their home town at Lombok, Bali, Indonesia.

We are so grateful that Ani willing to look after Athirah when I need to go to the office. It is so difficult to find a babysitter that is affordable. Proffesional babysitter would charge you AD18 per hour, and a nursery would charge you AD55 for a day. Alhamdullillah, Allah has met us with Ani and family.

Ani treats Athirah like her daughter. She has 2 boys, Thoriq and Faiz. Thoriq is in the same class with Yaya at Ironside school. So we have also made arrangement with Ani husband to take turn sending and fetching Yaya and Thoriq. So we have become close to Ani and family.

Eventhough Ani is not well for the past few weeks, due to her pregnancy, she still willing to take in thirah. Last 2 weeks Ani was unwell, so she couldnt take care of thirah. Then on last Thursday, she sent me an sms, asking whether we are sending thirah on Friday. She said she has getting better, and can look after thirah. Her message to thirah, "Tante kagen sama tirah". But since thirah was not well last week, I have to apologise to Ani, but promise her we will send thirah to her this week.

Hope these few days, Ani dapat puas bersama thirah. And we are so thankful to her. I hope she is having a baby girl because she has been longing for girl for a long time.

Balik kampung : Episode 4 : The gifts

These are the results of the shopping spree we did at Harbour Town. Two bags of Canterbury for both side of families and 3 bags of Pumpkin Patch. What are inside the bags?

I shouldn't reveal the content. Though love ones back home can guess what are inside those bags, but they do not know exactly what are in there. A SURPRISE!!
What ever it is, we hope they will like it.

This weekend another shopping spree to be done for my brother. He sent an sms requesting something. The location.... will blog about it soon.

Balik kampung : Episode 2 : at Harbour Town

Harbour Town is popular among tourist. It is like factory outlets for popular brands like adidas, nike, osh kosh, hush puppies, pumpkin patch, canterbury, to name a few. We never been there before. When mak and abah came earlier this year, we took them to Gold Coast, but only to the Carrara Market. Not enough time to stop by Harbour Town.

Since my beloved sistah, request some jerseys for her heroes, we went there because it is much cheaper buying at Harbour Town than any shops at Brisbane. I was told that at Malaysia the Canterbury jersey will cost you around RM300...dear oooo dear.....

We were lucky, coz Canterbury was having a big SALE last Saturday. All items were marked down to 50%. Yes....50%.... what a bargain right.... so we bought the requested Wallabies Jerseys... and some gifts for the families....

Nearly noon, everybody is feeling hungry. There is Halal Nondos nearby. So we stop for lunch before continue the shopping spree.

Balik Kampung : Episode 1 : The request

I got greenlight from the big boss to take a break at one place that is always in my heart. InsyaAllah, 2 weeks from now we will have iftar (breaking fast) with the love ones at home.
Before that, there are many things to be done. One of it is to full fill a long time request of beloved sistah and close cousin.

So last Saturday, we drove down to the only place that we could buy the requested thing at a very reasonable price.

We rented kak su's car because our car is not fit to travel long distant.

This was our destination, about 1 hour ride from Brisbane.

Harbour Town @ Gold Coast

What were we looking for, travelling far out of Brisbane?
